New children living at Colonia Ecologica
A few weeks ago, there were three new arrivals at Colonia Ecologica, meaning that there are now 19 resident children. The new arrivals are two girls, sisters, and one boy.
The sisters are Limbania, 11 years old and Deisy, 9 years old. They were abandoned by their parents when they were very young, and had been living with their grandfather in the countryside. Limbiana had been working since the age of 7 as a maid in order to be able to feed and clothe herself and her sister. They have suffered many hardships in their short lives, and have needed much love and affection. They are now in school again, Limbiana in the 3rd year and Deisy in the second year, as they had of course fallen behind - Limbiana in particular is showing a real interest in her studies.

Jimmy is a boy of 6 years old, who lost his mother over a year ago. He had been living with his father, who scraped a living repairing shoes in the street. Jimmy was therefore always on the streets with his father, living the life of a typical street child. He is now in the first year of school.
Some of the children of Colonia Ecologica suggested that these three should also come to Colonia, and there they were happily recieved as there was a clear case of need for all three. They also had friends already at Colonia and so this has helped them to settle in. Kiko and Carmen asked them after the first month there is if they would like to stay, and they all said they would without hesitation, which of course pleased Kiko and Carmen greatly.
However, this also means that there are three more mouths to feed, three more children to fit in the tiny car on the way to and from school, and three more to count in all the monthly expenses. Thus Colonia Ecologica needs your help more than ever, and Charity Bolivia is happy to continue giving the assistance and looking for more funds to help them meet monthly costs and finish the building work.
